This group consists of representatives of the NUJ, the Consumer Association of Ireland and the National Social Services Board (now Comhairle), as well as of the Central Policy Unit (a UCC-based academic specialising in information law is also a member). It meets on an occasional basis.

A description of the Group:
The Group was established to provide a forum through which dialogue with user interests can be furthered and the concerns of users addressed. The group is currently chaired by the Central Policy Unit and meets from time to time to discuss particular issues. The group also serves as a mechanism for furthering understanding of FOI.
